Haiti
Jamaica. I don’t know why.

Must pull the pins before the curse can take effect…I hate the voodoo…
snakes- not really sure why either
I associate it with Africa, but I have a hunch it’s that Hollywood stuff talking
I really don’t know anything about it.
When I hear Voodoo, I think of Godsmack.
But seriously, Hollywood has made it so far from the real thing that when the average person hears voodoo, they think of what the movies have done to the practice of the religion.
Blood and cartoon voodoo dolls.
Cole Porter.
Louisiana
Godsmack
I’m not the one who’s so far away…
Black people. I suppose I would think Haiti too. And then voodoo dolls.
African-style witchcraft.
Haitian syncretic polytheism. Loa riding mambo and houngan.
edit: I’m sticking with polytheistic. A god doesn’t have to be the supreme being in order to be a god. Even the two largest monotheisms have minor gods they don’t call gods, like angels and Satan. Loa definitely qualify as deities.
I think of a friend of mine who practiced this faith. In general, I think of the rituals associated with either New Orleans or Haitian-style Vodou. I think of loas like Baron Samedi or the designs on Voodoo vévés.
